Finishing your job

Finishing refers to all the activities that are performed after the ink has been applied to the paper—including folding, binding and custom extra touches. You should consider your finishing requirements before you start your project—we’re here to help.

Folding

Folding is a process where a printed piece is bent over so it lies flat upon itself and reduces the physical size of the finished piece. We can help you find the folding pattern that best suits the design and purpose of your completed product.
Some common types are roll fold, double fold, z-fold, and continuous fold. Here are some examples of folding.
Documents may be folded for mailing purposes. For example, to fit into a DL-sized envelope. …or to fit on a display stand.

Binding

Binding refers to the gathering and fastening together of separate sheets—and is used for books and booklets.
Examples of popular binding methods include perfect binding, saddle-stitched, spiral/coil binding, and wiro binding and section-sown.
Some examples of binding are shown here.
The length of your document may determine the most suitable type of binding.
